Need for Speed: The Run Limited Edition and Gameplay Trailers

EA today announced details surrounding Need for Speed: The Run Limited Edition, which launches November 15, 2011. The Limited Edition is priced the same as the standard and includes 3 new cars and 5 exclusive challenges.

The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S, Lamborghini Aventador, and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 are the new speed kings offered to give players a leg up in making the cross country run. The Need for Speed: The Run Limited Edition also provides five exclusive challenges, which offer players the chance to one-up their friends and master their driving skills while earning bonus rewards and achievements.

Along with today’s Limited Edition trailer, EA recently released a gameplay trailer for those wanting to see more of Need for Speed: The Run.

Players can pre-order the boxed version of Need for Speed: The Run Limited Edition for $59.99 from various retailers or the PC download for $49.99 exclusively from EA’s Origin store. No special boxing or cover package has been announced, yet.

This leads me to believe the Limited Edition is more like a first-run or first-print production push. Still, those wanting a leg-up or some smoking hot exclusive cars should hop on the pre-order bandwagon, especially since the price hasn’t increased for the limited content.
