Fanatec CSR Elite Steering Wheel
Fanatec‘s Thomas Jackermeier announced that the premium CSR Elite is now available for preorder, but supplies will be limited and at least the initial price is $40 higher than anticipated.
As for why the higher price, Thomas explains:
“We will fly in products from China by UPS airfreight so that we can ship it in time for Christmas. This increases the cost of the wheel a little bit so that the new price is 539.95 Euro (incl VAT) or 539.95 USD (excl. VAT).”
Thomas also warns that Fanatec only has a very limited amount of wheels available as production is still slow due to increased quality control measurements. “We rather give the workers more time to assemble it nicely and save time with the shipping instead of rushing things to the market.”
The Fanatec CSR Elite Wheel can be preordered via the USA or Europe stores. Once again, for those that want to compare this wheel with other Fanatec products, check out this handy guide. While I think the Clubsport Wheel offers the most versatility, that is not an option for Xbox 360 users.
