iRacing.com’s inaugural Pro Race of Champions (iPRC) is set for December 14 with nearly $2,000 going to the winners’ favorite charities. iPRC features top professional race drivers from America and around the world. (Ed: Sim racing has certainly come a long way in the last few years, hasn’t it?)
iRacing’s Dave Kaemmer shares:
“One of the unique features of online racing is that drivers can compete with one another in real time, regardless of their physical location. So it was a natural for us to organize our own race of champions on behalf of the drivers’ favorite charities around the world. I can’t wait to see all these winners from NASCAR, IndyCar, sports car racing, V8s and, yes, drag racing competing with each other.”
The iPRC event consists of two online races:
- Race one: Chevy Silverados, 20 laps under the lights @ Charlotte Motor Speedway
- Race two: Mazda MX5s, 10 laps @ Watkins Glen International Cup Course
