Great news for fans of karting, with the beta5 release of PiBoso’s Kart Racing Pro.
PiBoso’s goal is to create a realistic karting simulator that can be used as training tool for real drivers. Having spent quite a few hours playing beta4 I’d have to say KRP is well and truly on its way.
Kart Racing Pro is seriously impressive in its attention to detail including high quality track modeling and textures, authentic karts, realistic sounds, a comprehensive replay system and nice touches such as driver body animation that combined take the level of immersion up a few notches. Beta5 includes a number of fixes and new features, most notably from a player’s point of view is the addition of rubber marbles.

A limited free KRP Demo is available for download and the full game can be purchased for 24 Euro. Great value for money, and definitely a project every sim racer should consider supporting.
