While console owners of Need for Speed the Run get the new Italian Edition Pack paid DLC, developer Black Box plays catch up and releases a long-awaited PC patch. There’s a slew of single, multiplayer, and autolog changes included.
For one, single player mode gets a semi-fix with resets. “When players go off track, they will be reset back onto the track instead of at the last checkpoint. Crashes will still result in a reset to the last checkpoint,” the NFS: The Run website states. Multiplayer racers get a bit of reprieve now, having the option to mute VOIP of other players in multiplayer sessions.
For making PC owners wait, EA was only too happy to provide for free the nine Signature Edition Booster Pack cars:
- Puppet Chevy El Camino SS
- Fatlace Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R
- Venom Nissan 370Z
- Scoundrel Subaru Impreza WRX STi
- Victory BMW M3 Sport Evolution
- Nicolas Mazda RX-7
- Mega Nissan GT-R (R35)
- Falken Porsche 911 GT3
- Conroy Ford GT
Those PC owners who want to know all the details about the patch can find them at the official downloads page. To start downloading, login to EA’s Origin client on your PC and it will automatically download and install the patch.
