Hobbyist Blair Kelly is working on his Arduino Wifly Mini, a remotely operated vehicle that communicates over a WiFi network, controllable with an XBOX 360 or PS3 controller or G27 steering wheel, or any other controller that can be manipulated with Processing’s ProControll library, and features force-feedback and a first-person view.
The device isn’t as versatile as some would like, as presently only the G27 wheel and a Logitech F510 controller rumble properly with force-feedback. I skimmed his production documents, but I didn’t see any mention of other wheels he attempted to use to know which do not.
Skip to the 6:30 mark in the video to see him using the G27, while driving based on the camera in the RC car. Pretty genius, no?!
