iRacing: Rockingham Speedway Development Images
Steve Myers, Executive Vice President and Executive Producer at iRacing.com has posted development images from iRacing’s laser scanning trip to Rockingham – not the mythical Rockingham ala Live for Speed, but Rockingham Speedway in the USA.
What is always impressive about laser scanned tracks isn’t of course just the track surface but the accuracy of the surrounding environment, where everything not only is in the ‘right place’ but as importantly is in correct proportion. It’s surprising how much the latter can detract from the sense of realism when the scaling of the various trackside objects are out of whack.
