The 2010 McLaren Racing F1 MP4-25 now available on Simraceway:
The first car to be raced by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ World Championship-winning pairing of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, the MP4-25 represented McLaren with distinction during the 2010 Formula One season, leading the British team to a creditable second-place in the World Constructors’ Championship and taking Hamilton and Button to 4th and 5th respectively in the Drivers’ Championship.
The car, sporting a larger fuel tank than the MP4-24, a bold engine cover fin and an innovative rear wing design that took advantage of a small duct in front of the cockpit to decrease drag on the straights, immediately proved more competitive than its predecessor, gaining its first victory in only the second race of the season in Australia.
Over the entire 2010 season the MP4-25′s Mercedes-Benz 2.4-litre V8 engine carried Hamilton to three wins and Button to two, with the pair racking up 16 podium appearances and three one-two finishes, at the Chinese, Turkish and Canadian Grands Prix.
