Work continues on SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) with Pavel Sebor, CEO of SCS posting new ETS2 previews (below) in addition to an update on the timing of the game’s release:
At the moment, we think it will take an extra month of testing and tuning to get the game completed, possibly pushing the release date into September. But this is still our best guess, not a guarantee – the game is only done when it’s done.
Player feedback from SCS’s recently released Scania Truck Simulator is also being rolled into ETS2:
Good news – the engine team has managed to speed up the graphics engine in the past two weeks, in some scenes it now works up to 30%-50% faster than before. The feedback gathered from Scania Truck Driving Simulator players has helped us spot the opportunity for such optimization. Of course this is great news for ETS2 development as well.
I’ve only recently discovered the Scania Truck Driving Simulator and am seriously enjoying it. Looking forward to ETS2!
