The 2009 Alfa Romeo Mito is now available on Simraceway.
Introduced in 2008, the diminutive MiTo was launched by Alfa Romeo in order to compete with the growing range of superminis produced by other iconic marques, most notably the BMW MINI and the Audi A1 . Its name, which means “myth” in Italian, also serves as a tribute to the cities in which the car was designed and built: Milan and Turin.
Sharing a platform with the Fiat Grande Punto and Vauxhall Corsa D , its design is inspired by its more high-profile predecessor, the uber-stylish 8C Competizione , while its “Alfa Romeo D.N.A.” system offers three different driving modes in order to optimize the experience behind the wheel.
The Fiat -made 1.4-liter turbo engine beneath the hood of this particular MiTo produces 153 bhp, all of which is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. This enables the 2524-lb super-sporty three-door hatchback to travel from 0-60 mph in eight seconds flat and reach a top speed of 134 mph.
